VISA: DATA ENGINEER

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 1.5+ years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience in creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using a wide variety of technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark SQL, Spark API’s MongoDB, NoSQL, as well as traditional data technologies like RDBMS, MySQL.
  • Good knowledge on various Data warehouse techniques.
  • Expertise in performance tuning on data pipelines to scale data in petabytes.
  • Ability to program in one or more scripting languages like Python
  • Experience with working on Unix environment and good at shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving ability.
  • Experience in handling production environment w.r.t issue root causing and fixing them.
  • Experience in handling stake holders across the time zones.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git etc.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
